From Dr Frawley's book "The Yoga of the Herbs", there is a diagram
relating herbs to the Chakras e.g.

Base - Ashwaghandha, Haritaki,Lotus Root and Shatavari
Sacral - Coriander, Gokshura, Marshmallow, Uva Ursi
Nabhi- Black pepper, Cayenne, Cumin, Golden Seal
Heart - Cardamom, Lotus seed, Rose, Saffron
Throat - Ajwan, Bayberry, Cloves, Licorice
Third eye- Basil, Elcampane, Sandalwood, Skullcap

So from this I take it that this represents herbs that has effects on
organs within the chakra region - makes sense.
My queries are;
1) Is there another mode of action e.g. through the nadi system that
links in with the chakras.

2) With heating and cooling herbs do they have an impact on Ida and
Pingala; if so what are the implications.

3)Is the primary mode of action of most of these herbs physical;
secondary psychological, or can it differ depending on the herbs.

4) If some of these herbs are wrongly prescribed in terms of long
term usage can they result in abnormal chakra functions; just like
being prescribed the wrong asanas.
