Marijuana and The Pineal Gland

For those of you who don't know, I have been devoted to finding out more about the universe as a whole as well as the power of the human mind. I don't consider myself part of any specific religion, instead, I take from all religions in order to get a better understanding of what's out there and of what surrounds us. Lately, I've been doing loads of research on the pineal gland. If you haven't heard about it, you may want to read more about it in my article by clicking here. It's a very interesting read. You can learn more about it by watching a video on YouTube entitled, "The 2012 Enigma by David Wilcox".

Dr. Rick Strassman, a psychedelic researcher, has shown and demonstrated what the pineal gland does. It synthesizes other chemicals that are associated with serotonin (like melatonin) which is an important neurotransmitter. When serotonin is produced, it sends chemical messages through the body that communicate with nerve cells. Dr. Strassman also goes on to explain that LSD, mescaline, psilocybin, and DMT are actually active in the brain and are also affected by the chemical, serotonin. In fact, their structures are extremely similar. He even states that perhaps when you die and your pineal gland shuts down, all of these chemicals actually turn into the chemical structure of other drugs!

More interestingly, of every way known to man to increase melatonin production from the pineal gland, none are more effective than smoking weed. Marijuana causes the brain to produce prostaglandin which causes melatonin production. After two hours of smoking marijuana, melatonin levels are raised by 4,000%. In 1995, The Journal of the American Medical Association came out with an article that stated that marijuana was being used to help treat migraines, minimize pain, and other conditions because melatonin has been shown to reduce the harsh symptoms.

On the other hand, however, it may not be a great idea to smoke weed during the daytime. Melatonin levels are naturally very low in the daytime, so low that they can barely be detected and causing such a dramatic increase could possibly interfere with your health. Although this has not been proven to be true, there is evidence to sway me to stick with night smoking. Something I typically have done forever anyway. In the daytime it just makes me sleep and then want more...

Anyway, I thought all of the above was very interesting and you can do more research if you would like. :]] Let me know your findings here on the blog!

  1. Hmmmmm, as a fervent weed smoker myself, I find your thread most appealing, and it shocks me that there are 4.000% Melatonine in the body after 2 hours sincee smoking.
But weed is god's plant! - And the only way to get rid of the chemtrails infesting the Pineal Gland!
